Hammersmith is situated between Chiswick and the High Street of Kensington. It has a bustling night life, what with the Carling Hammersmith Apollo Theatre nearby and plenty of bars and pubs to choose from. If you love food then you’re in heaven as Hammersmith has excellent food shops, with cafes and restaurants galore and a farmers market every Thursday, boasting fresh and cooked food from farms around the area.
Hammersmith is one of the better-connected areas in London, with three tube lines (Piccadilly, District and Hammersmith & City), a major bus garage with buses going to practically everywhere in London. It hasn’t got many parks or green spaces but being close to the river makes up for that.
There is Ravenscourt Park which has tennis courts, a bowling green, a children’s playground complete with paddling pool, a flower garden and plenty of open space to relax in and there is Holland Park also. It’s a diverse area where a lot of families, first time buyers and young professionals choose to live.
There is much to choose from in terms of properties in Hammersmith, from gorgeous Georgian properties by the river and Furnivall Gardens to high end flats such as Sovereign Court and Distillery Wharf.
